The Yakima Symphony Orchestra will perform up to
42 services in the 08-09 season from October through April. Compensation is on a per-service
basis. These are tenure track
positions. Auditions are screened
and will include a prescribed solo and orchestral excerpts as listed
below. Recorded auditions may be
accepted under exceptional circumstances.
Audition requirements:
I.
Solo: First movement exposition of a
classical or romantic concerto (no accompaniment)
II.
Orchestral
excerpts (as presented in International Music Co. excerpts):
